What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is also known as natural medicine (nature care). It is a holistic therapeutic approach that focuses on the symptoms and the causes that cause them.

In naturopathy, it is considered that the organism is "energetically" sensitive and constantly interacts with its environment. This makes us perceive "disease" as a communication of one level with the level of consciousness. Conscious perception allows the person to understand the factors that led to the illness he/she may have. The symptom itself may need some form of therapeutic approach, but the treatment is carried out by firstly "understanding" the meaning of it and acting accordingly.

What is the role of Naturopathy?

The naturopath has a consultative and helpful role. It investigates the dysfunctions in the physical, emotional and mental part of the person’s health and guides him in choosing suitable techniques as well as integrating into their daily life, with the ultimate goal of their overall well-being.

Naturopathy does not prescribe or stop any medication.

How a Naturopathy session is conducted:

Duration: 90 minutes

The first session includes the following:

  • Briefing of the purpose of your visit and discussion of the person’s goals and expectations
  • Take records of the person’s history
  • Notetaking of eating habits
  • Discussing and notetaking the person’s way of life (i.e sleep, worries etc)

At the end of the session there will be a discussion about the next steps in order to create an individualized treatment plan and schedule appointments to keep track of your progress.

You are provided with the following:

  • Written instructions according to your original requests
  • Basic nutrition and lifestyle principles, if your request is also related to your eating habits
  • Nutritional supplements that would help based on the individual's requests

What is the goal of the Naturopathic Session:

The aim of the Naturopathic session is to have a complete discussion about the subject of the person's concern and to give advice, practices and nutritional supplements to improve their quality of life.
